Last Minute Easter Milk Can for Porch

If you are part of the Everyday Edits community you know I love my garage sale find milkcan. Over the years I have painted it a dozen colors. It has taken up residence in most rooms on our main level. It has relocated from the kitchen to the front or back porch. I love this garage sale find for less than five dollars. But this last-minute Easter metal milk can on the front porch may be my favorite.

Here is a quick refresh on the history of metal milk cans.

Here is the story of my milk can find and the makeovers over the years.

I knew I wanted it on the porch this season. I painted it black to match the wrought iron railing we had installed a few years ago.

EASTER MILK CAN ON THE PORCH

Last year I ordered the cutest carrot wreath. It’s not a round wreath, but more of a swag of carrots. I originally placed it on the inside of our front door, but the shape/angle of the carrots made it difficult to open the door.

CARROT WREATH

It was pretty, but opening the door should not require so much effort.

And then I remembered my milkcan sitting on the front porch. The front porch does not have flowers in the pots until the last snow in Colorado.

Here is how it looks today. The orange carrots add a pop of much-needed color this time of year. It looks so pretty against the black milk can.
