LOOK AT THIS DIY POTTERY BARN GHOST PILLOW

Do you love a DIY knockoff? It’s been a while since I created a Pottery Barn knockoff. So when I saw Gus the Ghost in the latest Pottery Barn catalog I knew this was a fun DIY pillow to make. Check out how I made this cute Pottery Barn knockoff in a matter of minutes. I included a video below too.

I love a Pottery Barn knockoff like this tray

What makes a great DIY knockoff is saving money while not losing brain cells trying to create a copycat.

This pillow was crazy expensive for what took minutes and less than $20 to recreate (and reuse for other purposes).

This list of supplies for this diy ghost pillow is short

SUPPLIES

Round or square pillow form
clamp, chip clip etc
white blanket (like this one)
felt or black vinyl for eyes

DIRECTIONS

Clamp the top left and the top right corners of a pillow to create a dome shape.
Secure with a clap, chip clip, etc.

3. Drape blanket over the pillow form, and adjust.

4. Add black felt or vinyl for the eyes

5. Adjust eyes.

The hardest part of this DIY Pottery Barn knockoff was positioning the ghost’s eyes and draping the blanket.

When I reviewed the pillow photos I noticed the ghost’s eyes were a little creepy. Because I used sticky-back black vinyl it was easy to reposition his eyes.

I planned to drape my pom-pom blanket over the chair to create a floating ghost.

But the pom poms on the blanket looked more like tentacles than a shapeless friendly ghost.

I tucked the excess blanket behind the pillow.

This blanket is a better choice to make this pillow and reuse the blanket later.
