Okay so the title might be a little dramatic, but seriously this closet organizer makes me so happy!
If you had to list your five favorite home features what would be on the list?
My favorite home upgrade is hiding in plain sight behind a closet door. Nobody comments or admires it. And yet, it is the workhorse of the home and holds essential everyday items.
I would argue this metal rack changed my life for the better just like the improbable friendship between Elphaba and Glinda.
It is that amazing!
I loved it so much that a year later I bought a second, identical one.
It is my Elfa door organizer. Maybe it’s a Virgo thing, but I love my Elfa organizer.
I have tried other organizers from Home Depot but the shelving was a bit tipsy. These closet organizers calm me when I open my entry closet and see this.

But What About Guests?
A few years ago when I realized the entire family, including our Bernese Mountain dogs, accessed our home from the garage (90% of the time) it was a reason to rethink the entry closet in the foyer next to our front door.
Most of our guests are close family and friends and rarely arrive with coats and mittens. I follow my husband’s rule to base most decisions on the majority (our family) and not based on the exceptions ( guests).
I loved this one so much that I eventually added one to the back door of our laundry room. It holds gift wraps, tissue paper, and ribbon gift bags.

I love my ELFA system too. We brought ours from the pantry of the old house but we don’t have any big enough doors here to hang it on. Sooooooo we cut the bar in half and installed it on the laundry room wall. It’s working perfectly there! Happy Friday!
