LOOK WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH SNOW SPRAY
The irony of living in Colorado is that we rarely have snow in the city around the holidays. It may be cold, but there are no snowmen.

Most years, a can of snow spray is the closest thing to a winter wonderland.
Snow spray is a fun idea for adults and kids. It just adds a little cheer in December when the yard looks like a mullet- with a blow-up Santa in the front yard and brown lawns in the back (yard).
Here are a few ideas to add faux snow with a can of snow spray.
It’s a little addictive. One year, my kids came home from school, and I sprayed their bathroom mirrors.
My motto is if it’s not moving, add faux snow or a monogram!
Like most ideas, moderation is the first step.
SPRAY SNOW IDEAS
- I love to use dead branches in my floral arrangements.
For the holidays, I like to spray a few branches with snow. Use thick sticks or twigs. Spray a coat of white primer over your branches before adding the snow spray.
2. Are your Ornaments looking tired? Or you bought a few of the clearance ornaments at HomeGoods last January?
Add snow for texture and a pop of white on the tree.
If your yard looks like a mullet spray, snow will hide a bad view or give you a little privacy on the side of the front door. I might spray the top half of our Dutch Door in the kitchen.
3. Use spray snow on a hallway mirror or a bathroom. It is a fun, unexpected snowy scene.
4. Haul out your glass vases.
Create an arrangement with mason jars or glass vases with the faux snow.
5. Remember when I painted glass plates? Add faux snow to a glass plate (on the back side). You will see the wnow, but it won’t touch the food on the plates.
7. Add snow to the tips of branches of smaller faux trees.
Add faux snow to pinecones. It adds depth and dimension to your pinecones.
TIPS WHEN USING SNOW SPRAY
Snow in a can can be messy, so use a drop cloth to protect surfaces.
Use a glass cleaner to clean windows and mirrors before adding snow.
Submerge glass vases in a soap solution, rinse, and let dry if you want to repaint glassware. ** only paint the surfaces that are not exposed to food (opposite side of a plate or glass bowl.
- Spray a base coat of a white primer, let it dry, and then apply the snow for better coverage on ornaments or branches.
- Use the spray outside until you figure out the range/direction of the nozzle on the can.
- Do not use snow spray on a windy day.
