EASY VALENTINE’S DAY MANTEL
I am excited to join Carol on her blog for this month’s Celebrate the Holiday. For me, this month is about organizing and subtle decor
I wanted to celebrate with a super easy Valentine’s Day mantel.
With our living room remodel this previously awkward space is now our own personal library room complete with a fireplace insert and these chairs.

For January and half of February, I wanted easy for the mantel.

MANTEL IDEA FOR VALENTINE’S DAY
This Valentine’s Day mantel is flexibile. No mantel? No Problem! This decor idea works on a mantel and just as well on a side table or dining room table.
RED ORNAMENTS
It is perfectly acceptable to include a few ornaments in your decor in January. It is like a Christmas decor detox program.
I included red mercury ornaments, white ornaments with hearts ( found on my clearance haul at Homegoods a generous strand of a snow-covered garland that was a nod to snow in Colorado and a DIY Valentine’s wreath.
SNOW COVERED STEMS OR GARLAND

The wreath is two wreaths- one is from the Dollar Store and the heart-shaped wreath I found on clearance last spring.
WREATH
Sidenote: I love shopping the clearance aisles this time of year at my favorite stores.
What about you?

I love the warmth of the mantel and the red is a nod to Christmas and Valentine’s Day.
The wreath is layered because I loved the white background of the Dollar Store wreath (after I promised myself I would not buy anything at the Dollar Store after the holidays. I last two days!

Laura, I’ve never thought of using red ornaments for Valentine’s Day decorating. Great idea. The double wreaths add color and depth and texture to your mantel vignette. Thank you so much for sharing on Celebrate the Holiday.
I love reusing my red from Christmas too! The different textures of the wreaths together look lovely.

Laura, your mantel is so pretty and cozy for Valentine’s Day. I love the pretty heart wreath, and it’s so creative to layer it over the white wreath. Thanks so much for sharing!
You can never go wrong keeping holiday decorating simple and easy. Cloches are always fun to incorporate into any decor and I love these rustic bases.
THANK YOU MICHELLE! XO LAURA
