I love the idea of being crafty, but I do not have the crafty gene. My sister got the crafty genes. There are two universal crafter qualities:
- attention to detail
- patience
Years ago, my sister and I painted a Christmas Village collection from Michaels. Her post office looked like a scene from a Hallmark greeting card.
Whereas my two-story bungalow looked like preschoolers had painted it before carpool pickup.
But once in a while, I get this strange feeling g at Hobby Lobby in the wired ribbon or clearance aisle in February.
Maybe it’s the cold weather and slow sales season (year) that I like to make crafts with Elmer’s glue and a 1″ foam brush.
It turns out February is my crafty month.
Check out these easy Valentine’s crafts. My girlfriend Michelle is a huge crafter and she loved my pom-pom craft. We all have a Michelle in our friend circle who can make Halloween costumes from tulle and chenille stems.
Because I have the craft skills of a preschooler, with glue gun privileges, these crafts are easy and affordable (repurposed jars).
VALENTINE GARLAND
This is a super easy DIY Valentine’s garland. All you need is an inexpensive ribbon and a package of paper hearts from Target or a Dollar store.
POM POM JARS
Pom Pom felted balls are a fun craft staple. All you need is a glass jar, vase, Elmer’s glue, or glue gun. I added this recycled glass jar and pom poms to this Valentine’s tiered tray.
JARS + STICKERS
Valentine theme stickers bring back members of puffy stickers and decorate our Trapper keeper notebooks with stickers!

PINK WINTER WREATH
This pink winter wreath is so easy. I used a wreath covered with snow and folded ribbon scraps and tucked them in between the branches. I store a can of artificial snow next to my spray paint cans.
