Guess What

Happy Weekending! We have sunshine in Colorado! Which is great timing because in exciting news, we e are gran-pawrents to an 18.2 pound Bernese Mountain, nine-week old puppy! He may be pushing 20 pounds by the time this Weekend Edit is published.

Meet Russell.

BERNESE MOUNTAIN DOG PUPPY ON OWNER'S SHOULDER

He has a playpen and a “beating heartbeat stuffy” to soothe him to sleep. Russell lives in an eight-story building in downtown Denver with views of Union Station so potty training involves an elevator, a concierge and rooftop views.

  • In other crazy news,
  • our SIL and a niece texted us that this son was on the NFL Instagram feed. His “longest” friend since kindergarten was drafted Friday night and Evan was at their home to support Luke!
  • In back-to-reality news I had my annual skin exam. Have you?

  2. Oh my goodness, melt my heart. I love the sweet new puppy. I’m convinced the plan was to make puppies as adorable as possible so that even when they make mistakes (potty on the floor, chew your favorite slippers) you just can’t be mad at them. 😊❤️❤️
Have a wonderful weekend. We’ve been enduring what Southern California people refer to as May Gray.

  3. That pic with Russell over Dan’s shoulder needs to be framed. We have one just like it from when Savannah was weeks old. It’s a favorite and wish it was a digital pic vs. actual photo.
I’m going to try the wreath next time the dog bones come. They’re always wrapped in 10 feet of that paper. As if 10lbs of rawhide is going to chip or break on the way to us.
I reread the post from a year ago about Evan. It’s my favorite. I should frame it. ❤️

    1. Du got the cutest pic of Ashley and Russell over the weekend. When she saw Russell out for a walk she pulled her car over and grabbed her camera (always with her).

  4. Love the new puppy. I’ve read every Amor Towles book, including his newest one, Table for Two. Love your wreath. It’s simplicity is what makes it so cool. Can’t wait to reorder Nola’s dog food from Chewy and get the paper packaging.
