I love grapevine garland. I don’t remember when I became obsessed with this twiggy woody garland. A strand of garland from Michaels or Amazon will add volume to centerpieces and wreaths.
Grapevine garland works well above front doors and privacy gazebos. Unwinding the grapevine from its packaging is the hardest part. It reminds me of the year we all got a Slinky in our stocking. Do you remember how it would recoil? It reminds me of the tightly packaged grapevine garland. And them I heard abou tthis gravepevine tip.
Here is a grapevine garland tip that will have you falling in love with the twiggy garland.

STEPS
1. To soften this grapevine garland you need warm water and a sink with a stopper.
2. Or a plastic storage container wide enough to submerge the twiggy garland. Overtime, the grapevine absorbs the water- which makes ir more pliable.
3. Do not try to wrestle with the twiggy vine. It will fight you until the bucket flips over.
4. Submerge the grapevine garland and secure the garland with a heavy object.
Plan to soak the garland for 24 hours which is why I used an oversized aluminum tray.
Unless you are looking for a reason not to use the sink for 24 hours.
If you plan to cut the grapevine garland into smaller sections this water tip will make it easier.
