QUICK FALL DECORATING IDEAS
These quick fall decorating ideas are because of my new Lenovo computer. After an unfortunate incident between my tablet and a cup of Dunkin Donuts Caramel coffee. I had the unscheduled opportunity to clean up my computer files, folders, and photographs.
And in sorting and deleting photos I realized I have a lot of fall decorating photos.
If you are a part of the Everyday Edits squad you know what I lack in talent I make up for by creating tricks, tips, and one-hour projects. And you all always show up!
So here are some fall decor ideas that require little time, talent, or money! What I love about decor is that if you stick to the basics you can create a seasonal home in minutes.
QUICK FALL DECORATING IDEAS
My centerpieces and bookcases are filled with layers of pumpkins, leaves, and/or garland. My favorite tablescapes (centerpieces( are the ones that I “create” in a minute.
PUMPKINS + CANDLES
This combines real and fake pumpkins, new and used candles, and berry garland. It is my favorite centerpiece of all time.
Every year I recreate with gourds from farmer’s markets, Sprouts or Kroger.
The berry garland is from the scraps at the bottom of my storage bins!
DINING ROOM CENTERPIECE
This is a wreath disguised as a centerpiece. I love to prop it up on my living room hutch because it has a wide wing span that fills in the space above this hutch.
GARLAND
This centerpiece in the dining room is two strands of tired-looking garland. I dropped them in a tobacco basket in the center of this dining room table and added a lantern with a battery-operated candle.
Sidenote: I have mixed feelings about battery-operated candles. Where do you weigh in on this battery-powered flickering candle debate?
BUCKETS OF LEAVES AND FALL STEMS
There is no such thing as too many buckets. I routinely spray paint my metal buckets for different holidays and seasons. I am always on the lookout for vintage buckets at yard sales and thrift stores.

This is one of my repurposed finds that nobody recognizes! I have four of these cylinder cardboard containers.
JUST PUMPKINS
Just add a pumpkin and a cute sign. Seriously! The black and white Cheers sign is a greeting card. It works great next to the basement bar of the drink station (counter) in our kitchen.
You will see it again in my Christmas decor minus the pumpkin!
This is a favorite and so easy. If you live in an apartment or don’t like decor that warms up a space, this is the easiest way to add a little fall to your entry or table centerpiece.
It is a strand of berry garland (check Trader Joe’s or Sprouts)) if you live in the city. Everything looks better this time of year if you add a pumpkin. Pie pumpkins are the perfect size for small spaces.
You could substitute the berry garland with a $5.00 plant at Trader Joe’s and grab a pumpkin. Done!
