Ahh…Valentine’s Day is closing in on us. Don’t you love a holiday that takes place in the middle of winter? Like National Monday Day And, Valentine’s Day is an unexpected way to tell the significant people in our lives how much they mean to us. And, on that list is the girlfriends in our lives. Here are are a few Valentine gift ideas for friends.
We could call it Valenfriends Day.

Valentine Gift Ideas for Friends
I fell in love with these candles on Katie’s blog, Preppy Empty Nester. I ordered two for a Christmas gift exchange. These candles allow us to create our own personalized text on the label. And, they happen to be made in Knoxville where my sister (auntie Tricia) and her family live.

Santa’s elf gave me a cast-iron skillet for Christmas and I love it. I ordered this for me. Now I just need to follow the recipes.

I first heard Elizabeth Heiskell on Hoda’s Sirius radio show. Her Mississippi accent drew me into her entertaining ideas and recipes. I purchased this cookbook. I quickly reordered a second one for a friend.

A wine club subscription or any monthly subscription would be a fun gift idea. You can read the details here. This might be one to go in on with a few friends.
Or, if you are on a budget; I love a screw-top wine bottle or splurge on boxed wine. It all comes down to your friend and her tastes (and sense of humor).

Jewelry can be a tricky gift idea. Does your friend love a good knockoff or does she want something in a little blue box? I found cute, glass, beaded stretchy bracelets on clearance at the Loft the other day. White House/Black Market and JCrew outlet are other great places to find jewelry.
The necklace in the photo below is from Jcrew Outlet.

Serving trays make great gifts year-round. I found my slate serving trays at Crate & Barrel. I prefer the raw edge and use them to showcase my baking skills.

Valentine Gift Ideas for the Dog Lover
For the friend who has everything, a donation to an animal shelter is a wonderful gesture. As a thank you, to my sister, for her help with Elliott’s rescue, I made a donation to this shelter in Knoxville.

Look at that smooshy face.

I love, love, love this ” me, you and the dog s” sign! After Elliott’s adoption, I ordered this for my sister and my favorite brother-in-law.
And, then I bought the same sign for my husband too. He was thrilled. He said he accepts his place in our home and family.
The sign is next to my side of the bed.
Do you see a trend?

Williams-Sonoma is one of the few stores I like to wander through. Their handsoap sets make a nice Valentine gift idea for friends.
Finally, one more! I had to come back and add this because I forgot all about this idea until I cleaned out my home office. Personalized stationery sets. I purchased monogrammed note card sets for my boys prior to graduation. I love a monogram on anything.
Please share your gift ideas for girlfriends in the comments.
Happy Valenfriend’s Day!
Hi Laura! I love those candles too. That sign is too cute. I may order one for me and one for my Sista. Great pic of you. Love the beads. Have a great weekend!
