TRICKS TO MAKE A ST. PATRICKS DAY AND SPRING CENTERPIECE

Sharing how to make a St. Patrick’s Day and Spring Centerpiece in minutes

Hello! If you subscribe to The Weekend Edit you got a sneak peek of my St. Patrick’s Day centerpiece that works for spring too. I was so happy with the idea of creating a spring tray that worked for St. Patrick’s Day, spring and Easter. I just had to share it!

I cannot believe I never thought of it until this year. Which means you can teach a middle-aged mom new skills.

if you have stopped by Everyday Edits for more than 20 seconds you know I love to share decor shortcuts.

Which is funny because as a Realtor my colleagues remind me not to overthink things. I have a plan A, B, and C – it is in my DNA and I get it from my dad.

So to have this super cute tray that covers two holidays and a season in the upcoming weeks is a time saver for sure. I did not overthink this St. Patrick’s Day to spring tray. It is a whole new world.

This strategy to pull items with similar colors has changed the way I pack up my holiday decor. Remember how I created my Valentine’s Day tiered tray?

I wish I could say I planned it but it happened because I needed more green on my St. Patrick’s Day tray.

HOW TO CREATE A ST. PATRICK’S DAY + SPRING CENTERPIECE

I love the versatility of a tray. It is a set it and forget it tray (or centerpiece). I do not have to switch this out until Memorial Day weekend.

  • Grab a tray or basket. I used this Pottery Barn knockoff find.
  • Gather your green decor stuff (fake grass and moss for the base

IT’S ALL ABOUT THE BASE | MOSS/GRASS

  • I layered the arrangment with faux stone balls from my favorite decor store in Knoxville.
  • I found these petite moss balls from my new faux floral shop.
  • They are out of stock, but you can sign up for an email when they are back in the shop.
  • You could make your own with styrofoam balls and the mossy grass sold at craft stores.
  • Here’s a thought: you could use real rocks too! ;0)
  • Asemble it it in a cloche, lane, lantern or glass vase.
  • Do not overthink it. Just layer the vase with a mix of color, texture and size of the items you to choose to use.

I made two versions using the same combination of faux stones, moss balls and green Easter eggs.

This makes life so much easier when you can make two of the same tray or centerpiece for different places in your home.

My goal is to make it a little easier to celebrate the holidays and seasons with little tricks to use the everyday decor staples for more than one holiday or season.

ST PATRICK'S DAY AND SPRING CENTERPIECE

If you love the look of a tray or centerpiece it’s okay to duplicate. No one ever notices it. What they notice is how your home feels comfortable or welcoming or a place that you can pull up a bar stool and share a glass of wine at the end of a busy week.
