Ad Madness

Happy Weekending! Before I begin I want you all to know I am working on the ad madness on Everyday Edits. You should notice a significant reduction in ads on my blog in the weeks ahead. I love my blog and I do not want it to look like Times Square after midnight while you read The Weekend Edit in the early hours.

We are warming up in Colorado which means a snowstorm will hit April. I have that pensive look on my face like Carolyn Ingalls before a barn busting blizzard or a grasshopper invasion in Walnut Grove.

A few years ago after a very early fall storm;. I walked outside with an 11-foot tree limb on our back patio. Of course, not one to waste a good branch I used it for this garage sale find.

In other news, I discovered, during the Super Bowl, I do not own a cheese grater. I own a zester,. . Is it called a zester? A lemon zester is no match for a block of Costco Cheddar.

My friends and family are not surprised by this revelation nor will I be surprised when I get a handheld cheese grater for Christmas.

FAMILY NEWS

In family news, my favorite son-in-law officially got his wings (just like Clarence but Daniel gets a uniform).

And my favorite brother-in-law shared a news story for a Make a Wish Fundraiser. John has a great Instagram account and takes really good photos. He texts me for helpful suggestions when I publish a video. Ha!

QUESTION

What is your must-have kitchen gadget? Mine is the Pampered Chef mini spatula!

  1. The PC mini spatula is great. So often smaller utensils or tools are flimsy. Not the PC spatula – sturdy and works great

  2. I love my mini spatula from PC too. I still have quite a few PC things, they have stood the test of time. I did get rid of the bread baking tubes and my apple peeler corer slicer a few years ago. I use my electric kettle (not PC) multiple times a day. Love it!

  3. A garlic press and a meat thermometer.. I can not live without them .

  4. I love the mini spatula from Pampered Chef too! Right now I have been making “chaffles” which are low-carb waffles made with a mix of shredded cheese and almond flour, etc, and cooked in a waffle maker, so my waffle maker has become my favorite tool. They are a substitute for bread.
The red-flag weather we’ve been having lately makes me dislike the thought of the hot dry summer ahead. I want more snow!!
