THE WEEKEND EDIT MERRY THANKSMAS
Happy Saturday morning. Denver got snow a few days ago which means snow in our backyard until April. I can’t decide if I pack up the pumpkins and haul out the holly or decorate the pumpkins with twinkly lights and Santa hats.
One year I decorated an artificial tree before Thanksgiving and stored it in the bathtub until black Friday.
In other news, we have hot water! Judging from everyone’s responses we had a very good run with the 20-year-old water heater.
I am being interviewed the week after Thanksgiving. The interviewer addresses me as Mrs. Nuss and is interviewing me for a marketing class and how I use marketing in real estate. Will is one of my son’s best friends at college.
Thank you to everyone who signed up for the Weekend Edit. I hope you enjoy the conversational tone of my blog on Everyday Edits and the occasional dangling modifier.
WATCHING + READING + FINDS
- I just discovered the online retailer Society6? I ordered this blanket. I think this friend mentioned it.
- My friend Heather at Our Life in a Click told me about these candles at Trader Joe’s. I bought two.
- Speaking of Trader Joe’s what are your favorite finds? I am working on a blog post for January!
- I finished watching Derry Girls on Netflix and jumped into Bad Sisters.
- Ever wonder how to pronounce those menu items? Read this.
- Anthropologie has a 30% off home accessories (and their candles).
- Thank you Talbots for our family Christmas card photo color scheme.

PS TikTok overwhelms me, but I found this grandmother who is the closest thing to overnight success. Babs was a preschool teacher and you can see it in her simple tips!

You are brave venturing into Tic Toc, Laura. I am trying hard not to be lured in. My grandchildren love it but I feel it would be one more distraction….lol
Have a very happy Thanksgiving!
Hi Laura,
Sorry to be late to the party. I’ve been putting Christmas up since I’ll be leaving for my oldest son’s home early in December.
There are some useful tips here. I ordered a print to frame from Society 6 but never knew they sold anything else. I’m always thrilled to read about Trader Joe’s products. There are so many and since they stopped the sample corner they used to provide. I buy just what I’ve tried for the most part.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
