THE WEEKEND EDIT + MOM WHERE ARE YOU?

Happy Saturday. I am in Ohio this weekend for Mom’s Weekend at my youngest son’s fraternity. Considering the dad’s weekend included a keg and day-old pizza I am prepared for a blackberry seltzer, Ritz crackers and a can of Cheese Whiz.

So imagine my reaction when this showed up in my inbox earlier this week.

And then imagine my reaction when I was waiting outside the Cincinnati airport at passenger pickup and Evan was waiting for me at the Dayton airport (one hour away from each other).

You know these are the stories we remember and not the ones where everything went off without a hitch. Right?

I texted the entire family and we had a group chat back and forth while Evan made the drive down to Cincinnati. We grabbed dinner at a fun place in Dayton called Old Scratch Pizza.

I have this recipe on repeat for the Easter holiday. It’s so yummy! I also make it for Christmas morning. You prep it the night before and fuhgetaboutit.

ETSY FINDS

If you click the link below I shared a few favorite Etsy finds. Etsy is this quiet little space where creators create and those of us with little to new sewing or calligraphy skills can drool over affordable finds. I rediscovered it during Covid.

Thank you for stopping by today! I would love it if you subscribed to the Weekend Edit. You can sign up here for a Saturday morning easy-breezy newsletter of my favorite projects, finds and tips. It is filled with run-away thoughts and sentences.

  2. I want to see a picture of you two twinning. That weekend sounded so nice! Crazy about the airport mix up! I need to check out that show. I like a lot of the people in it. I also liked that list. I agree about salted butter (and many other )! Have a great week!

  3. Too funny about the airport mix-up. The same thing happened to us when we visited friends in Santa Fe. I loved the Pam show. I’m interested to hear what you thought about Midnight Library. Have a good week.
