THE WEEKEND EDIT MY COOKIES NEED PHOTOSHOP

February 26, 2022

HAPPY SATURDAY!

Good morning! Denver is warming up after a chilly week that included down coats, scarves and of course a pom-pom hat. I sent my middle (child) a care package and included a few sugar cookies using this adorable cookie cutter.

Unfortunately, my cookies need photoshop.

This is not my cookie. This is the image Ann Clark’s website uses to make you think your cookies are going to look like this one. ;0)

WEEKEND THOUGHTS

I thought my first attempt at sugar cookies shaped like carrots looked amazing when I photographed them for a future post. And then when I uploaded the photos Thursday night it was like what I guess my face looks like before um edits or a filter. Every imperfection is on this carrot.

Sidenote: I chose the carrot cookie cutter because it is cute for spring and it requires only two icing colors. You ready for this? They looked so cute in the plastic container, but outside the safety of a Tupperware container?

They are not ready for a closeup! Stay tuned! My friends and family and neighbors (also friends) are going to have sugar cookies for months-shaped like carrots.

I re-watched the preppy kitchen video from last week. I made a few tactical errors but these look like they had an allergic reaction tot he icing.

Moving on .. no pun intended.

I try to keep (my mind) busy as my buyers hit “buyer fatigue” and homeowners are enjoying their improvements. #realtorlife

So to keep busy I ..

  • Organized this closet
  • Bought a few of these to bins to organize my kids’ yearbooks and honor roll stats.
  • You know the momentos they don’t have room for, but they want me to store. ;o)
  • We are attending our niece’s performance in her first high school musical, Newsies!
  • I am reading Pope Joan for my book club. Santa brought me a Kindle and I keep focusing on the % of the pages read.
  • If you are loving All Creatures Great & Small here is a cast Zoom interview.
  • Sidenote: If you are silently correcting my run on sentences and misplaced adverbs my sister is doing the same.

I love the St. Patrick’s Day centerpiece, and I thought your cookies looked amazing!!! We’ll need to compare notes on whether or not our new cookie baking sheets make a big difference!
