Snow in Denver
Denver got snow this week. I ate more than one grilled cheese to go with that snow. Grilled cheese has been my go-to comfort food this month. It might explain the fact that I have not worn anything with a zipper or buttons in six weeks. What’s your go-to comfort food?
The snow reminded me of this graphic my friend sent me about Spring in Colorado. She sent this graphic before the stay at home guidelines so I think we are now in Spring of Deception/3rd Winter.

I did have a win (my computer just autocorrected to wine) this week: I wrote three posts this week. It’s the little things, right?
Video Killed the Radio
I made a quick video for my most popular blog post. I wouldn’t say my videos are getting better, but I think my tone has simmered down. In an earlier video I posted on my youtube channel I sounded like Stephanie Ruhle before she got yanked from the NBC Weekend Co-anchor gig a few years ago. I love her haircut, by the way.
Like About You
Our son has been home for like six weeks. He is like handling his 2nd semester of his like freshman year of like college in our house very well. He says the word “like” like a lot. And, now I am saying it.
Like, now I include the work like before every preposition like but and before a verb like exhausted and every like an adjective in like every sentence.
How do I like stop this habit? I might have to use a clicker on him!
The other day I had a moment of inspiration and ordered this set this set of birthday cards. My goal this year is to send more greeting cards to friends and family. Do you still send birthday cards?
Now here are a few finds! And, if you have one you want to share here, please email me the link! Let’s go!
The Weekend Edit
Sew Happy
Get out your sewing machines. Diane shares a great, easy to follow tutorial on pillow covers.
Lights
Cindy added solar-powered lights to the back of her fence. Check out her time-lapse video here.
I want to make this sticky-sesame cauliflower recipe!
These cookies are on my list as we (hopefully) wind down quarantine time.
Brooke shared this diy tray made from scrap wood.
I have a niece that lives in the Denver area and saw her facebook snow post. My go to comfort food is macaroni and cheese – homemade not the box kid.
HI Penny, Thank you for stopping by! What a small world! I love hearing about Colorado connections! laura
