THE WEEKEND EDIT HITCH
Happy Weekend! And just like that, our furnace kicked on on this second day of November. I pulled out the fuzzy socks this morning before I grabbed my coffee!
If you are a first time visitor to Everyday Edits you can read a little bit about me here.
What are your favorite stocking stuffer ideas! This is one of my favorite kitchen utinsils from my friend Ginger! The whisks are small enough to not get stuck in the drawer!
Are you ready for daylight savings? Here are some helpful tips to add additional lighting (and where to add it) as we settle into winter.
My husband and I are working our way through the Alfred Hitchcock movies. My interest peaked when I started this book with a dozen references to the famous director.
Most of Alfred Hitchcok’s movies can be found on Amazon Prime for under 3 dollars. Yes, the movies are dated, and the driving scenes make me yearn for a little bit of AI, but the plots hold up better than some of today’s blockbusters!
If my kids are reading this there is a collective eye roll this morning about my love for Turner Classic Movies. Don’t even get me started on It’s a Wonderful Life.
I closed out the year with my annual mammogram, dental cleanings, eye exam and blood work. I am also a blood donor. Donate a pint and get a free lab screen!
The only good thing about an annual physical the day after Halloween is I did not eat the Halloween candy … yet. My doctor and I are both Virgos (one of the random conversations we have in my thirteen minute appointment).
And she asked if my daughter was a Virgo and I realized I didn’t know my kids’ Zodiac signs. My husband is a Taurus- not be confused with the Ford Taurus which came up on my Taurus attribute search. Either way when I Googled his sign it said he should be prepared for “quite a month.”
QUESTION: What’s your sign? And do the characteristics fit your personality?

I’m a Libra and feel that it is so me! I can definitely see your Virgo traits. I’ve been getting all of the appointments out of the way too! One of my daughters is a Libra too and the other an Aquarius. Hubs is a Cancer. I love my mini whisks. That sweater looks cozy!
I need to figure out my kids! I always explain their behaviors by birth order my oldest, my middle and the baby!
ha! laura
My husband and I are both Aquarians and we are both so different from each other and still agree and so many things. My youngest is a capricorn and I only know that is because he is born in the same month as my brother. My eldest is a June baby and I just googled it.. he is a Cancer.
My husband and I are both Gemini. I can’t say we are typical for that sign as we are not the most “talkative” or “changeable,” but I do like that we are supposed to be “philosophical” and “intelligent. ”
I think we may wake up to some snow tomorrow — it’s late at our Colorado elevation this year,
I’m a classic Gemini – always trying to do two things at once (multi-tasking) and wanting to start a new project before I’ve finished the one I’m working on. If I’m not doing two things at once, I feel like I’m wasting time. My son is a Gemini, but we get along great – except when we both want to talk at the same time!
Thast’s hilarious Carol!
I’m an Aquarius. I do recognize some of the traits listed in the description. When I was in my late teens-early twenties astrology was pretty big. There were books on what to expect from different signs if you were to date them or marry them. Haha.

Thanks for the shout out, Laura! Those whisks are the best. Love your turtle pretzels, too – amazing treat! I am an Aquarian. Much fits. 🙂 Fuzzy socks and tea this morning; have to love the pre-holiday blitz.
