THE WEEKEND EDIT FINALLY FEBRUARY
I heard from so many of you about how happy you/we are that January is in our rearview mirror. It helps that All Creatures Great & Small is back on PBS/Amazon.
Elliott ( our Bernese Mountain dog) is so excited for the anticipated Season 5.
February is the month when my yard resembles a mullet. The mulch is sliding off the torn landscape fabric.
There is a snow hovel parked on our back porch- waiting for the Fake Spring that hits Colorado on the busiest weekend for open houses and bridal showers.

QUESTION: How do you, February? Travel, cleaning, organizing… all of the above?
In exciting empty nester news -we completed our streaming services audit.
We downgraded Peacock … for less than 10 hours.
.It turns out the shows I love are on the premium plan.
IHulu and Disney are on the cancel list.
I canceled the Hallmark + channel when I realized any shows I would watch are on “regular Hallmark.”
For Christmas, my husband bought me a car wash club membership. I know. He also bought me a handbag (with help from his daughter).
I only get my car washed if someone else washes it. He loves a clean car the way I love a clean refrigerator.
My dad washed the cars every Saturday. I know because I paid my Irish twin brother to wash it when it was my week to help.
This is our daughter’s first and last car wash.
She now has a car club membership like her dad.
In exciting news, I maxed out my library holds.

Here are a few of my favorite books from last year.
My daughter gave me these dog hair dryer catchers for a stocking stuffer.
She had to explain what they were. I was skeptical, but they work after cleaning the comforters and these pillows (quarterly).
I love the toilet bowl cleaning tablets, but they are pricey at Target. Here is a 24-pack of cleaning tablets for under $15.00.
READING, WATCHING + LOVING
- I am pages away from finishing Within Arm’s Reach. It was entertaining, but felt like the storyline had been done before.

Found it, yay! Thanks for the shout out! The bars are so customizable which is great. I’m currently using up a protein powder that I don’t really like and they are perfect for this!
I hope you had a great weekend. We got more snow and ice but it is mostly gone, prepping for more tomorrow. Ready for Spring!
This February we’re staying home, as my husband recovers from surgery, but in the past, we’ve often taken trips into Denver to visit museums, etc.
We have been watching Severance and also Paradise on cable —both kinda sci-fi but engrossing.. Hubby was happy the Eagles won the Super Bowl. We were going to cancel cable if the bill went up but they renewed at the same rate.
I’m reading the novel Frozen River for book club this month. I’m also on Goodreads.
