THE WEEKEND EDIT CHANGE OF PLANS

THE WEEKEND EDIT- CHANGE OF PLANS

Happy first day of April friends! Thank you for your friendship, comments, and emails. They lift me up and remind me that one of my favorite gigs is this one at Everyday Edits.

Real estate transactions give me the opportunity to meet amazing people in the different stages of their lives.

But this little blog fuels my soul.

In a world of chaos, grief and loss this little blog is where I heal and thrive. Where I squirrel away late at night and write about buckets and my favorite wine tasting ever.

Our daughter’s fiance and his family experienced a huge loss by the unexpected passing of their father/husband. The news came in the form of a text: change of plans. We were on our way to the mountains for a weekend of skiing when our daughter texted us the news that her future FIL was in emergency surgery. Our daughter texted us later that evening that he did not survive the surgery. And just like that …

My family, with four siblings, aunts and uncles, grandparents and friends and neighbors (also friends so I am not sure why I qualify them as neighbors), leaned in to support our daughter in her grief and her soon-to-be husband.

We cried and prayed and listened. As a parent, separated from our daughter by 1600 miles and as many tears, I am so proud of our daughter’s unconditional love and support.

A close friend sent this quote to me and my daughter.

This Weekend Edit post followed today’s post. Thank you!

Now, when I see photographs of your Bernese Mt. dogs I see the same kind, friendly faces that my Berne doodle puppy has. What a sweet disposition they have.
By the way, I don’t know if anyone has mentioned this, but your reply/answer portion of comment section…your picture hides some of the words. It’s not a big deal but I thought I would mention it.
