THE WEEKEND EDIT AUGUST 17
HAPPY WEEKENDING! The Denver metro area has had spring-like showers for two weeks. It made for chilly nights and great sleeping weather.
I survived my computer setup. I almost took a turn to crazy town until I figured out how to set up my two monitors and my mouse. But my computer’s bigger issue was losing my favorite font settings.
I know.
I know. file this under First World Problems. But I just about snapped because my font default is …
Times New Roman. I know.
It could be worse if my default was .. wait for it …
Gill Sans Extra Bold.
My hopes perked up when I successfully set up my email signatures with my new favorite font-
Century Gothic.
Moving forward…
In other big news, my dad and father-in-law both celebrated birthdays this week. Their birthdays are a day apart. My father-in-law celebrated his 92nd birthday. He and my parents have lived in the same neighborhood for over twenty years.
My father-in-law l eats the same meal most nights: chicken, green beans, a side dish, and a sliced tomato. And a small sweet.
Meanwhile, my mom never misses an opportunity to make reservations! We are on the waitlist to get on their social calendar.

My favorite font is Garamond. I use a PC rather than an Apple computer. I had the opportunity a few years back to make the switch, but I’m happy with my PC and my son couldn’t talk me into paying the extra $$$ for an Apple. Haha.
Lucky you to be getting some rain. I’m over heat and humidity and would welcome snow at this point—Southern California doesn’t get snow in the lower elevations. Bummer.
