Let me begin with this statement. I know there is more good in the world than bad. I once had a conversation over the good vs bad in the world. My response drew upon my experience with the 80/20 rule. Of course, I was referring to my closet. You know, we tend to wear 20% of our wardrobe, 80% of the time. But, when this question came up in a discussion with a professor, I drew upon my closet. I argued there are more good people in the world, but we hear about the bad 80% of the time.
Sometimes you just have to look a litle harder for the good, but it is all around us. And, never hurts to add a little more good, thru random acts of kindness, for good measure.
We leave this week to take our youngest child to college. I am so excited for him as he begins a new chapter with pages he will write; not me.
His roommate is from outside Pittsburgh and he is the youngest in his family too. My eyes are holding back tears as I type. But, his dad and I will be good. We have a kitchen renovation scheduled. It’s our “you got them to college” reward.
Pray for my husband.
He and his best friends have a slow rollout to college in the next few weeks.
Our son is ready for college. We just need to find his backpack. He may have tossed it into the senior hallway on the last day of high school.
