THE WEEKEND EDIT #31

March 6, 2021

sharing a few finds every week and the occassional family story like the one below

Do you have kids in college or living anywhere but in your house? If you said yes then you know the pure bliss with what I experienced the other day. I got phone calls from two of my three children. Yes, phone calls where they just wanted to catch up and fill me in on their lives. Bliss.

My middle called to tell me he was getting the J&J vaccine. This is big news for a kid who cried to the point of gasping when he needed booster shots in high school (okay, maybe 8th grade). He is considered a health care worker for his scribe gig in a pathology group. #goals

He has his mom’s eyebrows ;0)

Of course, one of them (the youngest)  had a story that involved two campus police officers and a 3 am wake-up call. Apparently, it was a simple misunderstanding. #thebabyofthefamily

Timely, since earlier this week I shared one way we stay connected with our college-age kids.

I never knew how many lanterns and wood trays I owned until I had to round up everything that was on our main floor or on the closet floors. It is the prep before getting our floors refinished.

THE WEEKENEND EDIT

I might have a problem. I blame it on my favorite online shop and my new favorite shop (I have a spring order on the way from Knoxville).

PAINT COLOR

I plan to repaint our powder bath. Our floors are scheduled to be refinished and despite everything I read about dark stained floors, we are going with a dark stain.

The vanity we ordered is also a dark finish so I think I need a light and bright color. I might go with the paint in this DIY bathroom remodel.

HUTCH FIND

Did you see this hutch I found at the most unlikely place?

THE WEEKEND EDIT ROUNDUP

  1. Pin this for healthy dinners.
  2. If you have a favorite vegan dish will you pin it to this board?
  3. This twist on a brownie for spring.
  4. I need to get started on this now.
  5. Need a spring craft idea? Start here.
  6. Love the clock in this post? I found it  here.

If you have a post or project you would like me to share please email me at laura@everydayedits.co (no “m”) and I will add it to the queue

Have a great weekend. Sunny skies here in Denver.
