Happy Weekending friends! Did you get any crazy weather where you live this week? Sadly, Denver is nose-running cold andno snow. We had a family of deer in our backyard this week. And in not-so-surprising news, our two Bernese Mountain dogs, Chloe and Elliot, were completely clueless.
The family of four (maybe five) deer was ten feet from this landing just outside the living room window. Not a bark.
And yet Choe, our older Berner, barks like crazy as she hears any delivery truck pull into our cul-de-sac. We affectionately call her Miss Barks Alot. Chloe is our senior Berner and has a bit of sundowner anxiety with daylight savings.
She gets more anxious and wants outside every ten minutes.
QUESTION:
Have any of you found anything that works with calming down older dogs? Would love suggestions in either the comments or email me here.
WATCHING + READING + BAKING
- Only 9 more hours to finish Winter Solstice.
- My favorite Preppy Empty Nester shared this fun list of board games.
- Hena shared this review of a recent Mexico City trip. She covers all the details!
- Is your favorite Christmas/holiday cookie on this Country Living’s list?
- I bought these flats as a Christmas gift to myself. So comfy and my heel is snug.
- I started this show on Netflix. It is a cute twist on a young adult, with autism, navigating her first job as an attorney. It is a South Korean cast and dubbed into English. It is endearing and funny and the dubbed voices are not a distraction. Perfect for the month of January!
