I rediscovered Hobby Lobby this winter. My sister noticed it because every time she called I was headed to or from the craft epicenter. But when I began my spending hiatus in February that included the HobLob! But the clearance section was fair game.
Until my self-imposed spending hiatus, I rarely paid attention to the clearance section at Hobby Lobby. Occasionally I found wired ribbon on clearance, but the clearance shelves were like a temperature-controlled indoor garage sale.

You know what happens when you find a clearance bin? It taps into our inner crafter-mine went into hiding when I had three children and an Australian Shepherd (Tanner).
We all have a crafty side, but sometimes we need a clearance bin to get our craft back on track.
THE CUTEST CLEARANCE FINDS AT HOBBY LOBBY

I last shared my Homegoods Christmas clearance finds and I think that is what got me to take revisit clearance bins.

I always hit the red sale tab at Williams-Sonoma and the clearance shelves at Target.
And then I went on a spending hiatus at the end of January which just meant I ate more cheese. I changed one habit for another.

But there is something about finding a clearance item when it is just right for you or your house or your dog!
I found these wood-shaped houses and if you are a frequent visitor here at Everyday Edits you know I have a thing for houses. #realtorlife

And apparently for clearance finds!

Styling my office bookcase has been a bit of a struggle. Hopefully, this is a before photo of my office shelves.
I did share this fun idea to step up your books here.
I painted the little wood houses green because I love a navy and green combo.
It is next to the dollar-ish ceramic house from Target.

My vision originally was to have an entire bookcase of petite houses including birdhouses and ceramic ones. But then I found this lamp for under $8 and I may need to work this into my shelves.
What do you think?
Too much?

I found this adorable blue and white polka dot canister with a lid.
I store my loose change in it!

Did you wrap the books in paper?
I used gift wrap and I had leftover peel and stick wall paper I never used!
