EASIEST WAY TO PAIR NAVY AND GREEN

March 18, 2021

I love to discover paint color pairings. My most popular pin is this paint color pairing. Where that one was about paint colors this is more about the easiest way to pair navy and green.

The truth was this post was going in a different direction until I noticed most of my navy and green pairings had one thing in common. And, I had captured all of them on film.

THE EASIEST WAY TO PAIR NAVY AND GREEN

Plants.

Plants are neutrals in our decor. They don’t fight with soft pinks and they never argue with this creamy paint color on most of my painted accessories.

There are no power grabs between plants and navy.

This potted plant is happy to take centerstage to my favorite clock on the Hale Navy window sill in our dining room.

It’s funny how we land on color combinations. While I was prepping for this kitchen nook update, I moved this olive basket to under the kitchen window.

I loved the look so much I snapped this photo.

This was a fun project, and as a blogger,  I snapped a few photos. Later when I created the post I noticed how great the herbs looked against the navy window treatments.

I think that is so fascinating, don’t you? It’s like if we trust our gut or our eyes we are attracted to Matthew McConaughey, I mean great color pairings. #wink

Plants, real or fake, give us fun shades and textures to play with during the year. So unlike some colors, navy and green and plants play nice year round.

Finally, in my office this fiddle leaf fig plant, which has made multiple apperances this year, looks so regal against the Hale Navy walls.

In our family room, high above the floor this plant looked great against the navy walls.

If you are a fan of navy and green I bet you have navy and green plants in your decor and you never thought about it. That’s because plants never need to make backhanded comments to their navy counterparts. There is no jealousy which might explain why they are so fun to photograph.
