a holiday gift guide for the baking enthusiast or for someone who wants to pretend to bake with serving dishes.
It’s the holiday season which means I am obsessed with serving dishes, platters and small plates. I like my serving dishes white because I like to use them year-round. Yes, I know, I know that sounds so ridiculous.
If my kids read my blog they would send me a collective eye roll through their phones.
Last year I sent my three kids a photo from Crate and Barrel of the serving dishes I wanted for Christmas.

I use photos when I ask any of the boys to men in our family to pick something up at a retailer. I need to work on their hunter-gathering skills at Sprouts or Krogers.
The white serving dishes make my sides and dinners look fancy (ier).
I think my obsession started with our kitchen remodel and the decision to add a row of “bubble glass” cabinet fronts. #firstworldprobs
So here is a very short list of my serving dish essentials. I own all of these (my boys finally found the casserole dishes with their sister’s help) and they are affordable-like Target pricing.
HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE FOR SERVING DISHES
I love these white potluck serving dishes. You can purchase them separately or in a set of three. They are offered year-round which makes sense because I use these dishes year-round.

This apron is on sale. I think my kids and husband are going to see these under the tree.
Somehow I ended up with an almost identical set with the only difference in the handle. I use all of them. I think the boys missed the details in the handle.
You can also purchase these as individual pieces. They are cheap enough to include in a hostess gift (remember when we used to attend parties this time of year).
I love a few seasonal favorites for the counter. These striped mixing bowls are too cute. They remind me of Buddy the Elf.
I am curious about this scoop bowl. I think it works for snacks and nibbles.
My mom buys me Crate & Barrel dish towels every year. I hope she reads this gift guide over the weekend. There is no such thing as too much plaid!
I purchased these tree-shaped ramekins years ago. It was fun to see Crate & Barrel brings these back. I use them for candies and nuts. They also make for a fun hostess gift.
These Lucerne casserole dishes come with lids! Now that my nest is free of little ones it may be time to reintroduce lids to my serving dishes!
It would be funny to order takeout and then serve it up in these dishes.
This stocking spoon rest is a gift idea for a friend or family member. With all of us home a bit more these little holiday accessories make for a fun gift for someone we can’t see in person this season.
Red, White and Green Serving Dishes
And this cookie jar! I love the seasonal items at Crate & Barrel. Of course, these days I may put these treats into this ceramic cookie jar.
This just arrived over the weekend. It smells like a Christmas tree in the rooms that smell a little like muddy snowmelt on our two Bernese Mountain dogs. It’s also in the holiday boutique below!
