STOCKING STUFFER IDEAS
Growing up, our stockings were filled with plastic candy canes, knockoff M&M’s, and hollow chocolate Santas.
My favorite stocking stuffer was the 5×5 Lifesaver book.
It was easily repurposed into a library for me and my sister’s Barbie Dream House.
Even then…
There were signs … I would grow up and rearrange furniture at five in the morning.
Now, many decades later, stocking stuffers are next level.
Somewhere between then and now, stocking stuffers rival Christmas presents.
A few years ago, I designated a Christmas bag in a cabinet in the laundry room to drop stocking stuffers.
It was a part of the plan when I hid this demo from my husband.
My adult kids love the stocking tradition, and I love the creative challenge of finding useful items that fit in their carry-on luggage.
My husband loves the challenge of practical stocking stuffers that fit in the stocking.
Except for the year he gave our kids battery chargers.
We both keep year-round notes for ideas (and budget planning purposes).
STOCKING STUFFER IDEAS
Over the years, I have kept a list of stocking-stuffer ideas and thought some of them might work for your high school- or college-age, and/or adult children.
The key to stocking stuffers is to find the balance between practical and affordable.

Stockings are my favorite part of Christmas. I wrap every single item because that’s why my mom did. My kids still enjoy them and it is fun trying to come up with fun, practical ideas. Hubby and I do them for each other too. I love Penzeys! I got my daughter a Penzie’s ADvent calendar this year and she’s been loving it.
I love the idea of looking for stocking stuffers year round. I love the idea of a Penzie’s Advent calendar for next year!
