SPRING MILK CAN MAKEOVER

My family would be happy to take my milk can to Goodwill. They don’t get that a small group of milkcan enthusiasts is scrolling through Pinterest for ideas. It inspires me to create new seasonal ideas for this years spring milk can makeover. Which is what inspires me to share this year’s spring milk can makeover!

I love to reimagine new ways to decorate my metal vintage find.

THE HISTORY OF MY MILK CAN

You can read the backstory with photos from before. I found it at a garage sale.

Most recently, the milk can spent the holidays on the front porch with faux garland. But it was in need of a peel and scrub- just like my face!

I hauled it into the garage, cleaned it up, and removed the dead leaves from last fall. With a long January with snow, cold temps, and grey skies (unusual for Colorado), I was ready for a spring milkcan makeover.

I primed and painted the milkcan.

And then I added the easiest decor staple- ribbon.

Ribbon’s job is to complete the package. It does the same thing with a perennial decor favorite.

I love to decorate with ribbon. It is affordable and adds a pop of color.

is like an exclamation mark on decor. I added it to the milk can.

It is so pretty! And I could switch the ribbon for every season!

NO MILK CAN NO PROBLEM

You can use an oversized planter or vase if you don’t have a milk can. Remember when I found this oversized pot at Goodwill?

You could easily transform a large bucket or plant stand to decorate for the seasons or holidays.

It was so easy, and it took less than 23 seconds, so I added a wreath to the neck of the can. I love the contrast of the green and pink against the white can.

Wreaths are not just for front doors.
