Sharing a spring console table for this month’s Pinterest Challenge
It’s crazy to think we are heading into spring when most of the Denver-metro area has yet to have a winter. But with the days getting longer it’s hard to ignore spring is just around the corner.
I am joining Cindy at County Road 407 and a bunch of fabulous, supportive bloggers for this month’s Pinterest Challenge. If you are joining me fro >>> welcome to Everyday Edits. If you are stopping by from Niky’s blog, welcome.
This month’s console/sofa table inspiration is from Marie and her blog, Sincerely Marie Designs.
Can we just pause to take in this room and that fireplace? What is not to love about Marie’s sofa table.?
Marie used some everyday elements for her spring console table.
- wood console table
- greenery
- plates
- books
- mister (who doesn’t love a water feature)?
On a side note, I love her furnishings in the room.
SPRING SOFA TABLE
Honestly, I thought this was going to be an easy challenge. I had a console/sofa table and plenty of accessories. I even had a pastel mister from the dollar-ish section at Target.
And, then …
I got stuck with height and scale. My books were not as large as I wanted them to be (they are on my garage sale search list). I am taking suggestions on where to find oversized decor books for cheap.
I used the books from this repurposed idea using packing material.
My table has a metal surface so to tone down the shiny reflective finish I added a grapevine ball and a chalkboard sign you can find on this daily deal decor shop.
I swapped out plants and moved the lamp from the left to the right.
This was a great challenge to get us in the mood for spring decor.
In full disclosure, the couches and the sofa table are the only pieces in our family room as we prep to refinish our floors.
Laura,
Your table is beautiful! So fun doing these challenges together.
I LOVE your grouping Laura! I can’t believe you found the mister in the Target dollar section. I need a lamp like that. Bravo!
Laura, I love how creative you were in creating a design that represented the inspiration pic, but used the things you had. It turned out lovely! I also need to add a few more coffee table books to my collection!
I’d love it if you want to share your spring table at my link party–Sundays on Silverado–which is open now. 🌷
Happy Spring,

So pretty Laura! I had a similar decor challenge this week with another area of my home! I really like your clear lamp and that bright greenery!
Such a beautiful table vignette for spring! Love the end table you used… where did you get it?
Not sure why, but I can’t see any pictures. I can read your article, but no pictures show up. Sounds pretty.
I’m laughing at your description of the dollar-ish section at Target, Laura:) Hit your local thrift store for decorating books; seriously, I got a bunch for $3 each a while back…the ones I used for this challenge, actually! Lucky you that you’re getting redone floors! Decorating will be way more fun then! Happy Spring!
Love a sofa back table. Yours look casually elegant!! Good luck having your doors done, Laura. Have a good week.
Nice job on your table Laura. I love the Target aisle! Thanks for joining us and bring on spring! Pinned
I love how you’ve styled your spring table Laura. I really liked how you added the chalkboard sign to the table. Well done!
Your table looks lovely~ Way to work with what you have, Laura!
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and by letting me know that you did by leaving such a sweet comment!!
Stay safe, healthy and happy!!

Oh boy, Laura!
You’ve got a big job ahead of you with redoing the floors… But I have to imagine creating this table and just relaxing for a few minutes was probably really nice! I like how your tabletop has a nice, dark matte finish. Anything displayed on top really pops! I love the green fern in its creamy pot. <3
You had mentioned that you are looking for coffee table books? Do you have a Half-Price Books near you? I get good gardening books and older design books for about $6 each, which is pretty reasonable. It's something my daughter and I love to do together, so I save my book trips for when I go visit her.
Happy refinishing and enjoy your "new" floors once they are all done and your room is put back together,
Hugs,
Barb 🙂
Love the look of the fern in the white crock and that cute little mister. I frequent the dollar-ish section quite a bit but must have missed that one. Lovely spring table my friend!
Your sofa table looks so pretty styled for spring. For home decor books, on Amazon look for used copies. You can find some great prices if you look. Also check out Abebooks for an inexpensive source for home decor books.
Laura, as many accessories as we have on hand, sometimes we are missing the one thing we want (big books) I think your table turned out great. Anchored by the lamp and the lantern, the other elements fit right in. Love the white crock with the bright greenery. Setting it on the chalkboard is a great idea. Hoping spring comes early!
I love your fern in the crock with the grapevine orb, and your substitution for decor books using the packing material.
I laughed at you calling it the “dollar-ish” section…(I always spend more than a dollar at the so-called “dollar-spot!”)
In addition to yard saleI find a lot of my decorating books at consignments shops.
Everything is looking beautiful for spring in your home!
Laura, I love your version of the styled table! The lamp gives great height, and the crock with the fern is perfect for spring. The little plant mister is a great finishing touch!
Love your idea for the books! And my thrifting list now has a plant mister on it! Really pretty!
