Hello! Welcome to this month’s Pinterest Challenge hosted by Cindy who blogs at County Road 407. These Pinterest challenges are all about using what we have in our seasonal decor. This month our focus was on spring centerpieces. I decided to bring out a basket tray for my family room.
If you are visiting from Laura’s blog, Decor to Adore, welcome to Everyday Edits. We are joining our group coordinator, Cindy and her monthly challenges that push our creativity without busting our budgets.
Cindy found this month’s inspiration over at Emily’s blog *** who shared her spring centerpiece for her entry table.
Here is the image for the inspirational entry table decor for spring.
Emily’s centerpiece includes so many eye-catching details. She used real dirt and fresh flowers!
Two things I realized I have never used in a centerpiece.
Until this challenge, my floral arrangements required no water or sun.
SPRING FAMILY ROOM CENTERPIECE DETAILS
- flowers (and dirt)
This is what I love about these challenges- they take me out of my comfort zone and push my creativity and curiosity.
I wanted to add a tray to our family room. Because our coffee table is centered in front of our television I try to keep the centerpieces low profile so they don’t disrupt Sunday afternoon sporting events.
Some of you may recognize the Pottery Barn Water Hyacinthbasekt knockoff.
When I revisited Emily’s centerpiece I noticed the live flowers.
Our Home Depot is short on flowers, but they had fresh herbs n stock.
The fresh herbs smell wonderful.
Our family room gets morning sun and afternoon shade.
And with two Bernese mountain dogs with their fluffy, wind generating tails, I have to be mindful of tails and noses.
My family room smells amazing.
Thank you for stopping by for this spring tour! I would love it if you pinned this for others to find on Pinterest. Looking for one more spring arrangement don’t miss Cindy’s post.
