Love this Spring Wall Basket

A wall basket is like a hair scrunchie for florals. In seconds, I threw a bunch of floral stems together in a wall basket in our entry. The best part is I don’t have to switch it up until the 4th of July.

I love a wall basket because it is easy. To me, creating a wreath is intimidating. It is like a real-life word problem with variables of bows and wrestling wired ribbons around a grapevine wreath. I am plagued with questions, like what if there is not enough ribbon to intertwine with the grapevine wreath?

Wall baskets were made for girls like me!

My DIY wreaths look like they spent the night at a bus terminal. And then I bought a wall basket (online) from these guys in Kentucky. It was life-changing in the category of wreaths and baskets.

Wal baskets are like buckets (one of my go-to decor staples. A wall basket has a flat backside. So it is flush against a wall, front door, or sidelights.

  1. To add bulk I cut garland in 1/3’s or 1/2 and add to the back of the basket.
  2. This is a favorite floral stem tip with something we all have in stock.
  3. Line the wall basket with packing paper to keep the floral snug.

Wall baskets work in so many spaces. During the holidays I use this same basket in the powder bath. I fill it with a mix of pine needle sprays and these DIY snow-covered branches from the yard.

I love the placement of the floral basket in the entry because we see it every day. The natural light from the window highlights the floral basket.
