LOOK AT THESE REPURPOSED FALL FINDS

Hello! If you are a regular at Everyday Edits you know I love to repurpose reinvent random objects. Reinventing random items taps into my creative side.

Here are a few repurpose ideas for the fall season! Sometimes it is hard to part with something because it still has so much more to give. And there is no shortage of creative ideas thanks to Pinterest and social media.

REPURPOSED FINDS FOR FALL DECOR

FLORAL ARRANGEMENTS

Does anyone recognize this floral arrangement base? It was the year everyone in my family received a Casper pillow from Santa.

The pillows arrived in cylinder-shaped, cardboard packaging.

It was also the year I bought too many floral stems at Hobby Lobby. So several rooms got a Casper pillow cylinder repurposed to a cardboard vase.

And the best part is the cylinder won’t break!

My backup plan was to store Christmas ornaments in the Casper “box.”

PAINT CANS

When I cleaned out all my paints I ended up with a few empty cans.

Did you know the paint can labels peel right off the can? I had no idea. I planned to soak them in the kitchen sink for a week.

And with the attached handle it was like a free bucket with purchase!

I added faux flowers and added the paint cans to the front porch. The exterior black finish was perfect on my porch with wrought iron spindles and a handrail.

Sidenote: I wish Home Depot, Lowes, and Sherwin Williams would host contests for best repurposed/recycled paint cans.

How fun that would that be?

CANDLES

This is a favorite recycle idea! I made a centerpiece with recycled Anthropologie candle jars. Using this technique I cleaned the glass jars. And then added fall florals to create a stacked centerpiece. I love it!

And it works for all seasons so you may see these next Easter.

GLASS BOTTLES

Most of us go to Trader Joe’s for their fresh flowers, their Frozen Spinach Spanakopita and wine section. But this time of year I love to check out their seasonal apple ciders. But not for the reason you think. Nope! I love the seasonal cider bottles.

In fact, choose my olive oil based on the shape of the bottle. I know. Ths fun fact tells you all you need to know about my culinary skills.

Sprouts also has fun beverage bottles. I love these glass bottles. I bought chocolate milks at Sprouts years ago for the bottles.

Recycled glass jars look great in front of a window or window ledge. Oh, and don’t mix glass with plastic bottles.

Save the plastic containers to store Costco-sized cleaning products!

Goodwill is not for everyone.In college, Goodwill was the go-to destination for Halloween costumes. N ow, I think of Goodwill as an indoor garage sale with tile flooring.

If you think of Goodwill as a garage sale it feels more like an adventure.

As a result I have a short list at all times of household decor ideas on my repurpose list.

Wreaths, baskets and kitchen dishes are always on my decor search list.

This wreath is from a garage sale (the al fresco version of Goodwill).

If a wreath has great bones it can easily be updated with fresh flowers etc. This wreath has a special place in my heart as it was my first blog post years ago.
