IDEAS ON HOW TO UPCYCLE CANDLE JARS
I buy candles like I buy Charmin toilet paper because -you will always need one more roll (or candle). And I never want to be out of either. By the end of winter, I have an assortment of no-wick-left candles.
But that’s what I love about candle jars. They are like a free gift with a candle purchase. These jars patiently wait to live their best upcycle life. Here are a few ideas for you to upcycle candle jars.
HOW DID WE GET HERE
While some of you read The Weekend Edit (my shameless plug for this Saturday newsletter) I love to open a Bath & Body Works email on a Saturday morning with a 3-wick candle sale!
My favorite places to score candles include Homegoods, Anthropologie’s Capri Blue Volcano, and most of the pumpkin, spice, fall theme scents at Bath & Body Works.
STEPS TO CLEAN JARS
- Clean out the wax and remove the wick. I have used this method to remove the candle wax.
- Find a place to store your empty jars so you have a dedicated space to remember to use them throughout the year.
UPCYCLE IDEAS FOR EMTPY CANDLE JARS
Over the years I found creative ideas to repurpose glass jars, but candle jars are fun because if you are brand loyal you will have multiple jars with the same shape.

The opposite is true at Homegoods. But this is fun when you want to step out of your Anthro or B&BW routine. This is exactly what happened when I found this candle at Homegoods.

- DIY BIRD FEEDER
The hook is why I bought the candle. The scent was not that great, but the little hook- hooked me!

5. The small Anthropologie candles are the perfect size if you want to make your own DIY match stick jars. They make a cute gift if paired with a candle!

6. I love to paint my Bath and Body Works jars for seasonal decor. I keep green, pink, red, orange, and black paint I keep in these jars for when inspiration strikes.

7. Finally, grouping jars together makes a fun centerpiece. Anthropologie candles and Bath & Body Works candles offer uniform sizes which I love to group the jars.
