HOW TO SAVE MONEY ON COFFEE TABLE BOOKS.
For me, coffee table books are like cookbooks.
I love to collect them, but I rarely read them.
And then, when I have a free weekend, I love to sit in my pajamas with my coffee and wander through the pages of a coffee-table book.

Over the last year, I found that coffee table books have pictures, history, and fun facts.
I do the same thing with my collection of cookbooks.
I love to look at the pictures.
When my husband ordered this book of the NYC Bars to visit, it became a connection to our son, who lives in Manhattan.
It gave us a goal to visit a new bar or restaurant highlighted in this coffee table book.
Everyone in our family picks up this book, settles into our oversized couches, and flips through the pages of this unassuming, no-fancy-cover of NYC bars.
Coffee table books draw us away from our screens. Cookbooks give me the same source of comfort.

Although I rarely follow a recipe, I love flipping through their pages and reading the ingredient lists.
Coffee table books have the ability to invite us to slow down and linger over their pages.
In an era of apps and videos, it brings me joy to sit and look at pictures in books.
