I know, I know. Some of us still have jingle bells and wayward ornaments to pack away this month. And, I am sharing how to manage the holiday prep details in January. But, before sharing my list here is how last January began. This time last year I was storing a flocked tree in the basement bathtub until I could find a permanent place to store it.

I blame the impromptu tub storage solution on this tree I found last January on my way to pick up a pizza. Make sure to read the text exchanges between my husband and an extended family member.

This same tree is where I place the blame on my lack of planning for this past Christmas. I thought I was ahead of the game with a flocked tree.
Until the middle of the summer. And, then the conversation in my head in July (when Hobby Lobby rolls out the artificial trees) goes something like this,
“I don’t want to be so organized that I have nothing to do in December.”
And every year, around December 15th I have no (full) rolls of gift wrap, not a single roll of tape and can’t remember what my dad mentioned he wanted for Christmas on Father’s Day.
This year I will manage the Christmas prep details starting… now.
And, to hold me accountable I created a (pinnable) list on how to manage the holiday prep details before the next holiday season.

This list calms me. I plan to post on Instagram so I can remind myself during the year.
And, with this tree safely stored in the bathtub, I can tackle my prep list! Happy New Year!

Great ideas!!! I was confused a minute thinking that moving crews were wrapping up trees in the movie and I didn’t remember that part!! lol!! It’s early and I haven’t had enough coffee yet apparently!! Thanks for the inspo!
It wasn’t just you! I reread the post and delete the bottom half. Too much noise! Have a great week Heather! laura
