HOW TO MAKE FLOWER POTS LOOK AMAZING

My idea of planting flowers is to drop a Home Depot container of annuals into a flower pot.

My front porch is four steps from the driveway.

The porch is surrounded by a wrought iron railing (we replaced the wood spindles with wrought iron spindles. You can read the details of one of our firstDIY projects.

We add a railing on one side of the patio.

In some ways it resembles a play pen with the railings keeping the flowers protected from the harsh elements or Elliott, our Bernese Mountain dog

. He loves to chill on the porch or deck after the Colorado sunshine dips over the mountain range.

Here is what I added to my planters when I realized I had two identical spring wreaths ( from Homegoods).

I was not sure my flower pot idea would work.

I did not want my flowers to look trashy, but there was little effort involved in testing my idea.

Here is how I turned my flower pots into something a little more amazing. It’s like adding mascara to eyelashes.

This tip takes little effort and is fail-proof.

And the best part was that as soon as I tweaked the flower pots, I knew it was a game-changer for the season!

SUPPLIES:

flower pot(s)
I2 identical wreaths if you have more than one planter.
grapevine garland. I ordered this grapevine garland.
STEPS
: Add grapevine garland around the edge of each pot.
The grapevine adds depth and interest and hides the Home Depot container.
I added grapevine because I love the look, but depending on the size of your pots, it may be too much
Place a wreath
around the flowers. That’s it!
My porch planters look so much larger. From the street or driveway, the leafy wreaths look real.
