GIFT IDEAS FOR THE DOG DAYS OF SUMMER

We are gran-paw-rents to a fourteen-month-old Bernese Mountain dog( puppy).

Russell loves to stay at our house when his mom and dad have to travel for work or weddings.

Of course, I must find things for Russell to enjoy while visiting us in the Gramptons. Of course, this is for a puppy that is entertained by the sticks he finds on his walks!

I found these blinking lights to add to a collar because the last thing I want to do is lose Russell in our backyard in the middle of the night.

These attach to their collars (or leash) and you can set it to blink or not to blink.

The two of them have matching monogrammed bandanas.

This was Russell after his first and last week of puppy training.

But I found some cute things for Russell and Elliott.

Elliott is a little put out by this fur ball of energy so any attention to Elliott is in the form of food and walks.

I found these monogrammed bandanas. They include Velcro, so you can adjust the fit for a growing puppy or a senior dog working off the winter weight.

My daughter told me about these laundry dog hair catchers. I love the name of the Made in USA company.

They have the texture of a squishy sponge. I toss them in the dryer with dog blankets. I keep them in a glass jar in my DIY laundry room update.

These would make a practical stocking stuffer.

I love the dog beds at Costco and/or HomeGoods. They both offer several options.

Sidenote: Costco has the cutest dog treat Advent Calendar during the holidays. I gave one as a gift, and one to Elliott to kick off the holiday season.

This is a cute monogrammed dog toy basket. This would make a great gift or hostess gift!

Elliott has his favorite pom-pom blanket, but these monogram dog blankets are a best seller on Etsy. I like to distinguish between my throw and Elliott’s, so a monogram blanket makes a fun gift for a dog parent.
