GET ORGANIZED WITH A LAZY SUSAN
I love the transition to fall because it means more time in the kitchen with the oven. Now is the perfect time to take stock of your measuring cups and baking sheets, and get yourpumpkins spice and all spice ready.
My favorite find to organize my kitchen cabinets is a lazy Susan. I should nickname her a Lazy Laura.
I was curious about the origin of the name and found this Lazy Susan article with a few versions of the origin.

MULTIPLE USES FOR A LAZY SUSAN
For me, a Lazy Susan is the best way to organize spices, baking soda, baking powder, vanilla, and salt.
Most of these ingredients and spices require no more than a teaspoon, but a measuring mistake can be disastrous.
I have a pull-out drawer designated just for spices, but my favorite organizer is one that spins my spices right round, baby, right round, like a record player.
I know I just had to reference that ’80s hit!
TIPS
I have several turntables of varying sizes. I like the grippy bottom that minimizes the entire carousel taking off with an aggressive spin.
It’s like being a contestant on The Price Is Right and landing on the Cream of Tartar.
Sidenote Stocking Stuffer Idea: My daughter’s MIL buys spices for stocking stuffers!
Local Tip: There are two spice shops in Old Town Littleton! Savory Spice is popular. And just down the block is Penzey’s (also on Amazon).

Where to Find
I have found Lazy Susans at Home Goods.
But it is hard to find more than one because the second one may be wedged between a 4-pack of juice glasses and a kitchen drain stopper.
I used my easy pass and ordered these non-skid Lazy Susans on Amazon.

I have a larger cabinet organizer under my kitchen sink.

and in my garage to organize my mason jar-sized leftover paints.

Here are a few ways I like to use a Lazy Susan
- spices
- small cleaning supplies
- personal care items under bathroom sinks
- to store spray paint and paint samples

- nail polish
- I also like to add a motion sensor puck light behind a cabinet door!
