FUN GIFT IDEA FOR TEENS!
‘Tis the season for gift giving. But we all know the challenge of finding gifts for middle and high-school-age kids. This gift idea is perfect when family members want to give teenagers what they want while still keeping it fun.
My mom got this idea from a friend in her neighborhood.
My mom did not want to Venmo her high school-age grandchildren and wanted a creative way to give them money without using Venmo.

All you need is cash (preferably crisp dollar bills) in the increments that work with our budget.
Then you go to your local pizza place and ask for a small (empty) pizza box. They may charge you depending on how many requests they get the week leading up to the holidays.
STEPS
- Decide how many bills you want to add to the pizza box. My mom had different bills depending on the age of her grandkids. She “fanned” the bills out in the pizza box.
- Secured the edges of the bills with tape \.
- She had shredded paper confetti to resemble pizza toppings.
I admit when I saw pizza boxes under my parent’s tree I might have rolled my eyes. I had flashbacks to Easter egg hunts with my high school age kids.
. When the older kids opened their boxes, their reactions were priceless when they discovered grandma had not given them a pizza or a Domino’s gift certificate.
My parents were so excited to share these pizza boxes filled with money.
In a world of Venmo and electronic transactions, it was fun to have a creative way to gift money. It was a win!
