FOUND THIS SWIVEL ROCKER AT HOMEGOODS

Rockers are a thing!

Rockers are no longer the uncomfortable rocking chair that Edith Bunker sat in after dinner and coversation withArchie, Gloria and their son-in-law Mike Stivick.

Now? rockers rock and swivel.

Today, rockers are wrapped in a soft upholstered fabric that will put a baby and a PaPaa to sleep.

But with the newest addition to our family and a guest at the Gramptons, we dcided we needed a rcoker.

We have these swivel chairs in our family room, but apparently Miss Amelia likes the rock and swivel combo.

Our daughter found herrocker at Crate &kids.

I decided we did not need a rocking chair that cost more than two plane tickets to La Jolla for a long weekend.

But I never expected to find a rocker at Homegoods on a Saturday. … when my husband was conveniently running errands with me.

His mountain car hauls ski gear,E lliott,, our Bernese Mountain dog, and random furniture finds.

Like most of my Homegood finds, I never knew I needed it until I saw it sitting off to the side by the rugs anda faux marble coffee tables.

This rocker was upholstered with a cream color durable fabric.

It was a perfect match for these upholstered chairs I found at Homegoods a few years ago for our remodeled living room.

I texted my husband, who was nearby buying Bombas socks.

When I find these budget-friendly finds at his least favorite store I like to lead with the cost-saving benefits.

He was there in minutes when I told him this swivel glider was 2/3 less than the rocker that Olivia Culpo had in her nursery. He titlted his head, like my youngest, when he has no idea who or what I am referencing.

He had no clue who Olivia was until I reminded him she is married to an NFL player.

The chair was a perfect match for our living room. We both knew from the few hours we had Miss Amelia by ourselves that rocking and swiveling calmed her more than my singing.

The added bonus is my husband found the arm on the side of the swivel chair that turns it into a 5:00 oclock nap. I positioned the chair so the “arm” is facing the library wall!

I found the pillows on the same day on clearance! Score!

We love it! It! It will be a cozy spot in the winter months and fun views outside the living room windows. Anything to get this little bundle to smile (and sleep).
