This week I learned blog migrations are more complicated than 1200 mile bird migrations.
I have two dozen sticky notes across my desk. I have new emails and hosting hiccups. Maybe this is why I love a good upcycle project; they are not complicated. Meaning, login credentials were not required to make these cement pavers. There is no pressure to repurpose an object headed to the recycle bin.
If you want something to do in the middle of winter grab a bucket and a bag of Quikcrete. I always save my favorite plastic forms from the
bakery produce section. Seriously, why do we have veggies and cookies in plastic trays? Focus Laura. Focus.
With an upcycle gig, these trays get a second life with my concrete upcycle projects. I even use my everyday metal trays and just spray with cooking spray. It is fun to see what you can make with a bag of cement with the consistency of pancake batter.
I am not the creative, crafty type which is why I love to upcycle. If I screw up it’s no big deal.
These white porcelain looking vases were glass milk jars. In their former life, they were chocolate milk jars from Sprouts. They were too pretty to toss in the recycle bin, so I painted them.
And, now they are front in center in this hutch.
