FALL BASKET IDEA FOR THE ENTRY

Welcome to this month’s Pinterest Challenge. This month has all the fall feels in a basket. I loved this challenge because it includes two of my favorite things- pumpkins and baskets.

I had a Goodwill basket find that was perfect for a fall basket idea for the entry.

This summer I discovered the treasures at Goodwill.

I found this picnic basket this summer and was waiting for inspiration. That is what I love about these challenges- they motivate me.

FALL BASKET IDEA FOR THE ENTRY

I am always ready for fall by mid-August. And this photo makes me think of warm and cozy- even in August.

This fall inspiration is from Janelle and her blog. Her fall basket includes the following:

  • pumpkins
  • wood chargers
  • blanket (in the basket)
  • wheat bundles

I knew I wanted to use this picnic basket and just removed (and stored) the wicker basket’s lid.

When I assembled the fall basket it was like packing a grocery bag. I considered the weight and placement of the pumpkins. Instead of wheat bundles, I went with these fall stems from Hobby Lobby.

With the floral stems anchored in the middle, I had a strong base.

From there I used a variety of pumpkins with different colors and textures.

I tried my hardest to stay with muted tones, but I had to add a little pop of color.

I planned this fall basket for our hearth, but the textures between the basket and the stone were too busy.

That’s when I set my eyes on our entry table.

Recently, I moved a desk (from the college at home year) to our entry. If you remember I have this Pottery Barn piece in the entry. The desk is a nice place to drop the mail before I sort and I decided an oversize basket with a side lamp was a way to welcome fall in from the front door.

I love this fall basket challenge.

Thank you for stopping by today. I would love it if you pinned this fall basket.
