CHECK OUT A 1 MINUTE FALL HANGING BASKET
The funny thing about my wall basket in the entry is that I didn’t even know what a wall basket was a few years ago. The first time I saw a hanging basket suspended on a wall I thought the basket was nailed to the wall.
I could not wrap my head around the mechanics of a hanging basket. And then I turned to Pinterest and was in love! I was obsessed with how these beautiful floral arrangements stayed upright against a wall.
I wish my eyelids would stay up like my wall basket.
And they are so easy to switch out for every holiday or season. I love my go-to decor items for this reason and I have not won the lottery.
WALL-HANGING BASKET TIPS
- To prevent your basket from tipping or the stems from sinking into the basket add packing paper to the bottom of the basket.
- More stems are better. Just when you think you have stuffed and fluffed your basket add one or two more floral stems.
- It gives the basket (and wall) a cascading effect of florals
- For the summer and fall I added a few orange flowers.
- Wired ribbon makes everything prettier. I prefer a wired ribbon because it holds the stems in place. It’s like an underwire bra for floral stems. Sorry so sorry I am a little sassy!

I found my go-to wall-hanging basket on House Floral’s website. Their reviews are over the top! Yes, it is a little more for a wall basket but what I found is the bigger the basket the prettier the arrangement.
I found smaller versions on another website and was disappointed when it arrived and was the size of a roll of Charmin.

Now, my wall basket is a decor staple for every season. And I rotate it from the entry to the back door, back to the front door to the kitchen, and back to the entry.
TIP
The one place I do not suggest is to hang it above the powder bath or commode. Sidenote: I just had a flashback to my maternal grandmother referring to a toilet as a commode. As a child, I had to ask my mom to translate. Is that a regional or generational description?
I prefer to hang mine in quieter, low-traffic areas because the front of the basket tilts a smidge because of the hook on the back of it.

Somehow I ended up with eleven shades of orange florals. I love them but orange is a one-hit holiday/season.

I had something similar from Southern Living. Two metal wall sconces/vases that I would seasonally fill with florals. They also had lids if I didn’t want to put anything in them and could be used to display items on top (though I never did). They didn’t make it in the move but that’s ok!
