Do you remember when your kids were babies (or puppies) and you just could not stop kissing their tiny toes and little bellies?
There was a line in Friends where Monica, kissing Rachel’s new baby, made a comment about baby toes were like little tacos. Anyone remember that line?
Well, eventually our toddlers (and puppies) grow up and kisses are hard to give and receive. So as moms we have to get creative. I decided to have a little fun with Hershey Kisses for my college-age son’s care packages. The college care package kisses are a not so subtle way for me to let my son know I am thinking about him-without hovering. #wink
September is the time when our college kids (young adults) settle into their school routine and find a study/play balance. My son is in his sophomore year at a university outside of Minneapolis.
He just moved into a rental house with three of his friends. Our son is a focused young man who transitioned to college with a balance of academics, social and as a collegiate tennis player. But, he is still my baby and I just need to send him some kisses!
I shared a fun college care package party here. One of my must-haves for a college care package is to include a home bake or local favorite. Most of my care packages include Colorado salsa. And, when I didn’t get the chance to bake his favorite cookies in the box, I toss a few Kisses into his college care packages. And, a college care package is not complete with some home baked or local treats.
For these Kisses, I found these cute stickers in the clearance section at Michaels.
This is where I am going to make your life so much easier; skip the printing hassle and order adorable pre-printed, formatted for Hershey kisses stickers on Etsy.
I purchased these labels fosister-in-law’s-laws baby shower a few years ago. When I pulled the image from the Etsy shop I noticed the labels I ordered were called, “Tiny Toes.” I just went full circle in this blog post. Here’s her Etsy shop.
And, these just are not just for college care packages? Chocolate kisses are perfect for grandparents and relatives who are more than a short drive away. They are a fun way to show someone you are thinking about them.
