September is here and that means we are headed into fall and pumpkin spice lattes. Actually, Starbucks starts the fall season at the end of August! At my house September means a push to paint and do a few DIY and design projects before the holidays and college-age children return home to the nest.
And, with the pressure of holidays and parties I tend to get stuck in what my husband calls, “analysis paralysis.” Where I have so many decisions around paint colors ( so many options for navy blue) and curtains and budgets. And, then that little voice in the back of my head starts to ask:
Sound familiar? Anyone? Anyone?
Well, thankfully others have gone before me and tackled the fear, regret and the analysis paralysis inherent in most design and decor plans. I am not alone because Melissa Michaels and KariAnne Wood take all my worries away with their new book, “But Where do I Put the Couch?”
And in their seven-word title, readers KNOW they are not alone. There is help to guide us thru the mistakes and celebrate the simple joy in creating a home. Even, if the perfect room is used more by our dogs than my children.
We know we will find the answers and learn to trust the process. Because that is what design is all about; the process. And, Melissa and KariAnne hold our hands along the way, cheer us on and motivate us from the pages and chapters from their new book, “But Where Do I Put the Couch?
To celebrate the official launch of the new book on September 10th, there is a fun giveaway opportunity when you preorder now. Like right now. Like anytime before September 10th. You can preorder the here and enter to win $500 to Wayfair!
