When we adopted our Bernese Mountain puppy, Elliott, last February one of the first things I ordered him was a new collar. And, if I buy anything for Elliott, his five-year-old, four-legged sister, Chloe, gets one too! With a short shopping season this year, here are 8 Holiday Gift Ideas for dogs.
8 Holiday Gift Ideas for Dogs
Stockings are a big deal at our house. One of the first things I ordered for Elliott last winter was a stocking. I ordered a 2nd one for our five-year-old Berner, Chloe. So they could match! These make great gifts. And, when I purchased Elliott’s stocking out of season it was on sale.
2. Collars + Leashes
My cousin shared this website with me and my sister. I ordered two Tartan plaid collars. And, here is a coupon code: 15% off during our Thank You Event with code THANKFUL15
These leashes are designed for up to 120-pound dogs. Perfect for our little fur babies, Chloe and Elliott.
Chewy.com changed my life. I was a loyal PetSmart shopper until I received a coupon to try Chewy. I created two auto-ships in my account; a standard order for dog food and a second order for dog treats.Auto-shipments are optional. I can adjust the frequency or cancel my scheduled deliveries from an app or tablet. Chewy.com has a live customer service team.
Chewy.com would make a great holiday gift idea for pets or their owners. This would be a great gift to give grandparents who may appreciate the delivery to the door.
Bandanas are to collars for dogs as sweats are to denim for their owners. Sometimes you just want to give your dogs a pop of collar with an emphasis on comfort.
Bandanas for a pet are perfect for the active dog. Because active dogs will lose these bandanas in the back yard. They are cheaper than pet collars and you can make your own bandanas for a cheaper alternative. Right now our dogs are sharing their #daytonflyer spirit.
5. Donate to a Rescue
For the dog who has everything make a donation to a reputable pet rescue. We donate regularly to Adopt a Golden Knoxville. My sister is a founder of this rescue group in Knoxville, Tennessee. My sister coordinated the adoption of our Bernese Mountain puppy. Without her and her network of volunteers, we would not have Elliott.
6. DOG BOWLS
I found cute dog bowls here. Target has some cute dog bowls too!
7. Homemade Dog Treats
I shared this recipe for puppy chow treats.
The same recipe can be used to make dog bones. These would make a great holiday gift idea for pets.
8. Dog Treat Canister
Cute dog treat canisters make great gifts when paired with homemade dog treats.
